The Gathering Place is a Denver community center offering low-barrier, trauma-informed support to women, gender-diverse people, and children facing homelessness and instability. Its programs address immediate needs such as food, shelter, clothing, and health services while helping people work toward longer-term stability. Services are offered at no cost to those served.
Adult programming includes support connected to health, housing, purpose, and community, along with housing navigation, mental health care, and financial assistance related to housing, healthcare, transportation, and other essential needs. The Family Program provides onsite resources, navigation, and referrals for parents and caregivers with children in a welcoming, kid-friendly setting.
The Gathering Place also operates Elati Village, a residential shelter created in partnership with the City and County of Denver to help women and gender-diverse adults move from homelessness toward stable, permanent housing. Residents can access case management, wellness services, housing navigation, and community-partner support. Find related Colorado homeless assistance resources and federal assistance programs through NHREA, and visit The Gathering Place’s official website to confirm current program details.
