Description

Law Foundation of Silicon Valley uses legal advocacy to advance justice and equity for low-income individuals and communities of color. Since 1974, its lawyers, advocates, and social workers have provided free legal services, strategic outreach, and educational advocacy focused on housing stability, health, and children’s rights.

Through its Housing Program, the organization offers free legal advice and representation to low-income families and individuals in Santa Clara County. Support may address eviction lawsuits, housing discrimination and reasonable accommodation requests, tenant protections, Housing Authority hearings, Section 8 and other low-income housing issues, and questions about repairs or poor housing conditions. The Law Foundation also partners with local organizations through the Santa Clara County Homelessness Prevention System, which combines financial assistance, legal support, case management, and other services for residents at risk of losing housing.

Its Children & Youth and Health programs work to protect young people’s legal rights and help people with mental health, developmental, or serious health conditions address legal barriers to stability. For broader information, visit NHREA’s California homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official website to confirm current program details.
