Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry

Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry is a Bakersfield nonprofit resource for people facing economic hardship who need help keeping their long-term family pets fed. The organization provides emergency dog and cat food at no cost and works to help preserve the bond between people and their companion animals.

Established in 2009, the pantry serves residents throughout Kern County. It also works with senior-focused community organizations, including Meals on Wheels and Plaza Towers, to help homebound older adults keep their pets supplied. Its services depend on donated food, financial contributions, and volunteer support.

People seeking assistance or wishing to contribute can review program information through the official Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry website. Additional California assistance resources and federal assistance resources may help households seeking broader support.
