Covenant House Illinois (CHIL) provides a safe place and supportive services for young people ages 18–24 experiencing homelessness or crisis in Chicago. Its residential programs combine housing with meals and individualized support related to education, employment, mental health, and connections to permanent housing. CHIL’s Youth Development Drop-In Center offers practical resources such as warm meals, showers, laundry, clothing, and assistance connecting with identification, health care, education, employment, and housing resources. Case management and community outreach help young people set goals, access services, and work toward greater stability and independence.
