Description

The Nashua Rescue Mission, founded in 2003, was established to bring a gospel-centered response to homelessness and poverty in New Hampshire—then one of the few states without a Gospel Rescue Mission. Since its beginnings at 40 Chestnut Street, the Mission has grown into a respected community resource, providing shelter, meals, and Christ-centered support for men and women in need.
Originally opened with housing for up to 35 men, the Mission has steadily expanded its programs and impact through faithful leadership and community support. Over the years, chapel services, recovery programs, and structured shelter initiatives have been added to strengthen the mission’s ability to meet both spiritual and physical needs. In 2022, the newly renovated Hope Center for Women opened its doors, creating safe housing and support for up to 25 homeless women in the Nashua area.
In addition to emergency and transitional shelter, the Nashua Rescue Mission provides daily meals for those in need, as well as a bi-weekly food pantry that serves individuals and families throughout the community. The Mission focuses on holistic care—offering not only immediate relief, but also guidance, accountability, and pathways toward long-term stability and transformation.
With nearly two decades of service, the Nashua Rescue Mission remains a trusted beacon of hope, grounded in the love of Jesus Christ and dedicated to restoring dignity and stability for the hurting and homeless across southern New Hampshire.
