Cross Roads House Inc
Description
Founded in 1982, Cross Roads House is the largest emergency and transitional shelter serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the Seacoast region. For more than four decades, the organization has provided a safe refuge for those in crisis, offering not only shelter but also the resources and guidance necessary to achieve long-term stability and independence.
At Cross Roads House, residents receive more than just a bed and basic necessities—they gain access to comprehensive support services designed to help them transition back into permanent housing. The shelter provides nutritious meals, case management, job readiness training, and connections to healthcare, education, and community resources. Each program is tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals and families, empowering them to overcome barriers and rebuild their lives with dignity.
Cross Roads House plays a vital role in breaking the cycle of homelessness by addressing both immediate needs and root causes. By combining emergency shelter with transitional programs, the organization equips residents with the tools, skills, and support systems they need to thrive in permanent housing.
As a cornerstone of care in the Seacoast community, Cross Roads House continues its mission of providing hope, safety, and opportunity to the most vulnerable, ensuring that no individual or family faces homelessness alone.
