Sybil Smith Family Village is Dumas Wesley Community Center’s transitional housing program in Mobile, Alabama. Founded in 1999, it was created to support single women and women with children experiencing homelessness as they work toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.
The program combines housing with individualized case management, accountability, life-skills education, and support for employment, education, parenting, budgeting, relationships, and health. Residents also receive guidance aimed at overcoming barriers to independence and securing and maintaining permanent housing. Learn more about the program through the official Dumas Wesley transitional housing page.
For additional guidance, visit NHREA’s Alabama homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Review the official Dumas Wesley website for current program details and contact information.
