Alta Vista Children’s Shelter

Founded in 1980, Genesis Youth Center, Inc. in Clarksburg, West Virginia, provides safe shelter and support for homeless and at-risk youth. Established through a partnership between the City of Clarksburg and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services, Genesis has served as a first step toward stability and a brighter future for thousands of young people. While the nature of its programs has evolved over the years, the mission remains steadfast: to offer a safe haven that fosters hope, resilience, and the opportunity for youth to rebuild their lives.”
