Description

Located in South Los Angeles, the Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD) works to improve local planning, development, and community services for low-income and working-class residents and small businesses. Since 2005, the organization has focused on education, workforce development, housing, and neighborhood revitalization.

Through its Housing and Support Services programs, CRCD provides permanent supportive housing and related assistance for youth, families, seniors, and people with special needs. Its services include housing navigation, case management, life-skills support, referrals, and homelessness-response programs. CRCD also operates Ruth’s Place, a youth drop-in center offering basic necessities, housing assistance, and connections to support services.

CRCD provides workforce development for youth and adults, including employment and training support. Its social enterprise, CRCD Enterprises, offers neighborhood maintenance and beautification services while providing job-skills training and first-time employment opportunities for residents facing barriers.

Visit the official CRCD website or its program information page to confirm current details. Additional resources are available through NHREA’s California homeless assistance guide and federal assistance resources.
