Description

The Advocates for Homeless Families organization is dedicated to ending homelessness by offering permanent housing solutions, employment assistance, educational opportunities, and intensive case management services specifically for families in Frederick County with custody of minor children.

Since its founding in 1988, Advocates for Homeless Families has helped over 3,000 individuals and families overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives. Starting with a single rental apartment, the organization has expanded to manage 12 scattered-site properties throughout the county, providing safe and stable homes.

Their programs boast impressive success rates—95% of households graduating from the Emergency Transitional Housing Program and 90% from the Rapid Rehousing Program maintain housing stability, with most never experiencing homelessness again.

Advocates for Homeless Families continues to be a vital community partner, empowering families to achieve self-sufficiency and contribute positively to their neighborhoods.
