Homeless Services United (HSU) is a New York City coalition of nonprofit agencies serving adults and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The organization advocates for expanded affordable housing and prevention services, along with access to shelter, outreach, drop-in, and other housing supports.
HSU strengthens its member agencies through advocacy, information, training, and peer learning opportunities designed to support high-quality services. It also provides expert support to policymakers, funders, government, and nonprofit professionals working with homeless New Yorkers, and brings leaders together to examine coordination across housing, health care, behavioral health, and justice systems.
Located at 307 W 38th St in New York, NY, HSU offers information about its coalition and policy work through the official Homeless Services United website. For related resources, see NHREA’s New York homeless assistance guide and federal assistance resources.
