The Bigger Vision of Athens Community Shelter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving people experiencing homelessness in Athens, Georgia, and surrounding communities. Our Overnight Shelter Program provides 35 individuals with a safe bed, nutritious meals, and access to shower and laundry services on alternating evenings. We believe in addressing both immediate and long-term needs. Our Abundant Life Program supports up to five fully employed individuals experiencing homelessness by offering continuous shelter for up to six months. This gives them the stability to save money and secure sustainable housing. Our vision is an Athens where everyone has a safe, affordable home, and we rely on the generosity of volunteers, donors, and financial supporters to make this possible.
