Bowery Residents’ Committee

Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC) is a New York City nonprofit that helps people experiencing homelessness move toward safety, stability, and home. Its approach combines outreach, housing, and supportive services tailored to individual needs. Through its programs and services, BRC offers transitional housing, affordable and supportive housing, mental-health care, addiction treatment and recovery support, and services for older adults, children, and families.

BRC outreach teams build relationships with people living unsheltered and help them consider appropriate shelter when they are ready. The organization also develops and manages housing and provides employment-focused support through workforce development programs.
