Description

Bridges Outreach works to help make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring in Essex, Somerset, and Union counties. From its Summit location, the organization connects people experiencing homelessness with street outreach, essential supplies, shelter referrals, and personalized support focused on health, housing, and independence.

Through its Project Connect program, Bridges provides intensive case management, housing navigation and placement, and housing sustainment support. Case managers help clients develop housing stabilization plans and may assist with identity documents, benefits enrollment, emergency shelter connections, healthcare connections, housing voucher applications, and referrals for mental health or substance use treatment. Learn more about its approach through the Bridges Outreach official website.

People seeking additional housing and homelessness resources can also review NHREA’s New Jersey homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official Bridges Outreach website to confirm current program details and available support.
