Care Corps’ LifeHouse: Empowering Individuals and Families Through Housing, Food Security, and Supportive Services
Care Corps’ LifeHouse is dedicated to addressing the fundamental needs of individuals and families within our community by ensuring access to safe, stable housing, nutritious food, and essential clothing. Beyond meeting immediate needs, LifeHouse is committed to empowering those we serve by connecting them to resources that promote self-sufficiency and long-term stability.
What We Offer
Care Corps’ LifeHouse provides a comprehensive range of services including emergency shelter, homeless prevention programs, and five supportive housing initiatives. We also own and operate fifteen affordable apartments (ten 2-bedroom and five 3-bedroom units) for families earning up to 30% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Each program features wraparound case management and life skills training to support personal growth and independence.
Our community impact extends through our food pantry, which addresses food insecurity, and Thriftology, a thrift store open to the public. Thriftology also offers vouchers to individuals and families in need, providing free clothing, housewares, and hygiene items.
How We Operate
Care Corps’ LifeHouse is governed by a committed Board of Directors composed of respected community leaders and individuals with lived experience. The organization’s leadership includes a CEO, COO, and Financial Coordinator. Our emergency shelter and prevention team comprises Case Managers, a Life Skills & Workforce Development Coordinator, and 24-hour security staff.
Additionally, Food Pantry and Thriftology each have dedicated staff, supported by a Property Manager who oversees the LifeHouse Apartments. Volunteers play a crucial role across all programs, helping us maximize our impact.
