Description

The Center for the Homeless: South Bend’s Largest Residential Facility Supporting Individuals and Families in Need
The Center for the Homeless is the largest residential facility in the South Bend area dedicated to serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Since opening its doors in 1988, the Center has provided shelter and support to over 65,000 men, women, children, and veterans in the community.
Our expansive campus includes a residential building, administrative offices, children’s natural play area, community garden, recreation center, universal sports court, and the Robert L. Miller Sr. Veteran’s Center—offering a welcoming and supportive environment for all guests.
Through comprehensive programming and a wide range of resources, the Center empowers those we serve to break the cycle of homelessness and work toward lasting stability and independence.
