Description

Since 1975, the Chattanooga Rescue Mission has been serving the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the homeless in our community. As a faith-based homeless shelter in Chattanooga, TN, we provide compassionate care through food, shelter, clothing, and the hope found in God’s saving grace.
Our facilities offer safe housing for up to 46 men and 26 women, accommodating a total of 72 individuals each night. Last year alone, we served more than 34,000 meals and provided 25,000 beds to men, women, and children in need. We operate the city’s only totally free Temporary Emergency Overnight Shelter (TEOS) that is open year-round, ensuring immediate help when it is needed most.
While many organizations require a waiting period for placement, the Chattanooga Rescue Mission responds instantly in crisis situations, offering a lifeline to those facing job loss, foreclosure, addiction, or other socio-economic hardships. With approximately 600 people experiencing homelessness in the greater Chattanooga area on any given day, the need for shelter and support has never been greater.
At the Chattanooga Rescue Mission, we believe that meeting basic needs is the first step toward transformation. As we provide food, clothing, and shelter, we pray that God will open hearts to the deeper spiritual healing He provides. By combining Christ-centered care with essential services, we continue to bring hope and restoration to those most vulnerable in our city.
If you are searching for a homeless shelter in Chattanooga, TN, or want to partner with a ministry making a real impact, the Chattanooga Rescue Mission welcomes your prayers, support, and involvement.
