His career reflects a deep commitment to serving vulnerable populations, including children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness—work that aligns powerfully with the mission and values of Re:Center Ministries.
Throughout his career, Steve has held key executive roles in nonprofit and educational institutions across the Southeast. As Executive Director at BCFS Education Services, he oversaw the delivery of high-quality Head Start programs for over 1,800 children and families, managing a $25 million budget and leading a large team of staff and contractors. His work prioritized accountability, compliance, and excellence in service delivery—all rooted in a deep sense of purpose and stewardship.

His efforts brought in critical funding from foundations, corporations, and government sources—directly enhancing student achievement and educational opportunities.
Steve also served as Director of Education Services at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, where he led compliance, staff training, community engagement, and program development initiatives. Prior to his executive roles, he worked as a Head Start social worker and a mental health professional, supporting children and families dealing with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.
A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Steve’s foundation in behavioral science complements his administrative expertise, giving him a unique ability to build programs that are both mission-driven and data-informed.
