Providing Shelter and Supportive Services to End Homelessness in Chicago
Cornerstone Community Outreach (CCO) is an Illinois-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness throughout Chicago. Located in the Uptown neighborhood, CCO operates four transitional housing shelters designed to provide safe, supportive environments where residents can rebuild their lives and work toward permanent housing. The Hanna and Sylvia Shelters house up to 45 families, while the Naomi Shelter serves up to 72 individual adults regardless of gender identity. With personalized case management, daily meals, clothing, and advocacy, CCO offers more than shelter — it delivers hope, empowerment, and pathways to independence for Chicago’s most vulnerable populations.
