Family Promise of Greater Phoenix supports families with children experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis in the Valley. Its programs address prevention, diversion, shelter, housing, and stabilization, helping families work toward safe housing and greater independence. Readers can also review NHREA’s Arizona homeless assistance resources.
Through its emergency shelter program, Family Promise provides shelter, food, case management, cash-flow training, childcare, employment support, housing referrals, and other stabilizing resources. Its community-based model connects families with interfaith volunteers and supportive hospitality while helping parents pursue employment and housing goals. The organization also works to keep children, parents, and family pets together when shelter is needed.
Prevention services use individualized planning and case management to explore safe temporary housing options, reconnect families with supportive people, communicate with landlords, address immediate barriers, and plan for longer-term stability. After families secure employment and housing, the Graduate Program—also called Connections—continues staff and peer support for up to 24 months, with additional resources intended to help families maintain stability. Visit the official website for program details, and see NHREA’s federal assistance resources for broader support options.
