Description

Feeding the Gulf Coast serves a vast 24-county area spanning the Florida Panhandle, South Alabama, and South Mississippi, dedicated to providing nutritious food to individuals facing hunger due to systemic poverty, personal crisis, or disaster. Formerly known as the Bay Area Food Bank, they distributed over 32 million meals in 2023 through a network of over 800 community partners, including church pantries and soup kitchens. Beyond distribution, they operate various programs like Summer and Afterschool Meals, Backpack and School Pantries, Disaster Relief, Mobile Food Distributions, and Nutrition Education, working towards their vision of a hunger-free Central Gulf Coast.
