Description

Friendship Shelter is a nonprofit homeless services agency founded in 1988 to help end homelessness in South Orange County. Its work includes street outreach, emergency shelter, housing navigation, financial assistance, and permanent housing with supportive services.

Shelter services address basic needs such as a safe place to sleep, showers, laundry, and meals, along with connections to medical and mental health care, transportation, employment, income, and benefits assistance. Housing coordinators help participants set goals and work toward permanent housing. Learn more about the organization’s shelter services.

Friendship Shelter also operates rapid rehousing, housing-with-vouchers, and permanent supportive housing programs. Housing support may include rental, deposit, and utility assistance; housing location and stabilization services; case management; and referrals to community, health, and benefits resources. For additional guidance, see NHREA’s California homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official website to confirm current program details.
