People in Orland, California who are experiencing homelessness or trying to avoid losing their housing can contact Glenn County Community Action’s Housing Unit. Parkside Navigation Center is an assistance and navigation office, not an identified overnight shelter. Its role is to help people explore housing-related programs and understand the next steps that may apply to their circumstances.
The county describes different pathways for people who are already homeless and those at risk of eviction or housing loss. Coordinated Entry connects people experiencing homelessness with services and housing resources. Rapid Re-Housing combines short-term rental assistance with support for eligible individuals and families, while homelessness prevention focuses on helping people remain housed. A person’s current housing situation therefore matters when staff assess which pathway may be appropriate.
Other assistance has its own requirements and funding limits. Motel voucher applicants must meet the program’s definition of homelessness and any additional conditions; a call to the office does not reserve accommodation. The county also describes CalAIM Community Support for finding and maintaining housing. Ask the Housing Unit about current program access and how to begin an assessment instead of assuming that an office visit guarantees assistance. Consult the official housing-program information for the county’s published options, and review federal assistance resources when considering additional support.
