Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity works with families, volunteers and community partners to expand access to safe, decent and affordable homes. Future homeowners partner with Habitat to build or rehabilitate a home, learn about maintenance and routine repairs, complete financial education and purchase the home with an affordable mortgage.

Habitat’s research connects decent housing with better health, education and economic opportunity, while its broader housing work supports safer, healthier and more resilient homes. Learn more through Habitat’s housing help resources and its research on housing and health. For related assistance, see NHREA’s Alabama homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
