Thrive Santa Cruz is a passionate nonprofit organization based in Santa Cruz, California, focused on building an inclusive community, workforce, and sustainable local food system. Our mission is to equip individuals experiencing homelessness with the tools they need to rebuild their lives and establish a place to call home. At the heart of our programs is the belief that gardening is a powerful tool for healing, growth, and purpose.

We provide a safe, nurturing space on our farm where people can reconnect with nature, nourish themselves and others, and regain a sense of control and stability often lost through the trauma of homelessness. The garden becomes more than just a source of food—it becomes a source of hope, empowerment, and belonging. By integrating workforce development, life skills training, and community-building activities, Thrive Santa Cruz helps individuals transition out of homelessness with dignity, confidence, and purpose.
