House of Haven is dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and secure housing and services to at-risk homeless transition-aged youth, ages 18 to 25. Serving youth in crisis from Long Beach, Orange County, and surrounding areas, House of Haven offers short-term shared housing alongside vital resources including meals, clothing, hygiene kits, laundry facilities, transportation assistance, case management, educational and employment workshops, and more. Homelessness is a critical and growing issue in Long Beach, where over 1,900 individuals experience homelessness and nearly 80% of unaccompanied transition-age youth remain unsheltered. Despite this urgent need, there are no dedicated shelters for transition-age youth within Long Beach, with the nearest youth shelters located 25 miles away in Los Angeles and always at capacity. House of Haven is committed to changing this reality by addressing the unique challenges faced by homeless youth through individualized needs assessments and tracking youth outcomes. Impressively, 80% of youth served further their education, 70% secure employment or internships, and 50% transition into stable supportive housing, with 100% receiving essential linkages to other community services.
