Justa Center
Description
Since 2006, Justa Center has been the only resource and day center exclusively dedicated to serving older adults experiencing homelessness in the Phoenix area. With a specialized focus on adults aged 55 and over, Justa Center addresses the growing and complex needs of seniors who face homelessness, offering vital services designed to restore dignity, stability, and hope.
Over the past decade and a half, the average age of seniors experiencing homelessness has risen from 57 to 65, reflecting an alarming increase in first-time homelessness among adults over 70. Justa Center understands this demographic shift and has tailored its programs accordingly to provide compassionate, age-appropriate support.
Our comprehensive services include benefits assistance, transportation coordination, permanent housing placement support, healthcare referrals, and personalized case management. By focusing on the whole person—not just their immediate circumstances—Justa Center delivers a holistic approach that prioritizes each senior’s unique physical, emotional, and social needs.
With extensive hands-on experience, Justa Center collaborates closely with community partners, healthcare providers, and housing agencies to develop individualized plans that promote long-term housing stability and improved quality of life for homeless seniors. Our goal is to empower aging adults to regain independence and access the resources they need to thrive.
If you or someone you know is an older adult facing homelessness in Phoenix, Justa Center is here to help with compassionate, dedicated support tailored to seniors’ unique challenges.
