Residents at Helping Hands benefit from a range of supportive services, including referrals to local agencies, meals or partial meals, personal care products, clothing, and arranged transportation to work and appointments. The shelter operates with a philosophy of offering a hand up, not a handout, empowering individuals to regain control over their lives.
Serving individuals from three counties, Lake Area Helping Hands can accommodate up to 23 residents in separate facilities for men and for single women and women with children. Because bed availability fluctuates, interested individuals are encouraged to contact the facility director to check current admission requirements and space.
As a nonprofit organization, Helping Hands relies on grants and the generosity of individual donors. Your support helps provide vital services that change lives in the Lake Community.
