Lundquist WIC’s Central WIC Office provides free nutrition services and healthy-food benefits for eligible families in Los Angeles, California. Participants receive nutrition guidance, breastfeeding and chestfeeding support, community referrals and a California WIC card for qualifying foods. The Central Avenue office is one of Lundquist WIC’s service locations.
People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have recently had a baby or experienced a pregnancy loss may qualify. Parents and other caregivers can also ask about enrollment for children younger than five, including foster children. California residency and income or participation in qualifying benefit programs are part of screening. Medi-Cal, CalWORKs and CalFresh recipients can ask the WIC team how those benefits affect their application; eligibility is confirmed through enrollment rather than assumed from a general checklist.
Use Lundquist WIC’s application and appointment form to request enrollment, change an appointment or reconnect after a missed visit. You can also call the WIC team or visit a WIC office. Before traveling, confirm that your appointment is at Central WIC and ask what identification or other information your household needs to provide. Services are available in person, by phone and online.
Nutrition educators help tailor food packages to participants’ nutritional needs during pregnancy, after pregnancy and through early childhood. Families can ask about infant feeding, breastfeeding support and referrals to other community services. The California WIC app can help participants check their food balance, scan foods and keep track of appointments. Benefit amounts and food packages can change, so confirm your own benefits with WIC.
This listing covers the Central Avenue office, not Lundquist WIC’s administrative headquarters or its other branches. Check current WIC office information when arranging a visit, especially for the monthly Saturday appointment option. For other programs with separate eligibility rules, NHREA’s federal assistance guide provides additional starting points.
