Make It Home Bay Area

Make It Home Bay Area is a nonprofit furniture bank that helps families and individuals transition out of crisis by transforming empty spaces into homes. The organization collects, recycles, repurposes, and curates gently used furniture and household goods for people who may otherwise move into housing without essential furnishings.

Founded by interior designer Carolyn Rebuffel Flannery, Make It Home provides donated household items to newly housed foster youth, formerly homeless families, and individuals. Its work supports dignity, confidence, and security while helping people build stability in new homes.

By giving furnishings a second life, Make It Home also works to reduce landfill waste and protect the environment. The organization is a Certified California Green Business.
