Description

Mile High United Way helps strengthen communities across Metro Denver by connecting people with resources that support stability, education, and economic opportunity. Its work includes early care and education, academic success, basic-needs support, housing stability, small-business support, and free tax preparation through Tax Help Colorado.

Through its housing and homelessness-prevention work, the organization connects families with resources including emergency shelter, transitional housing, affordable housing, and rental assistance. Its multilingual resource center and 211 Help Center provide connections to assistance such as housing and food resources. Bridging the Gap supports young people transitioning from Colorado’s foster care system with housing-related assistance and wraparound support.

Tax Help Colorado provides free tax preparation by IRS-certified volunteers for low- and moderate-income individuals and families, helping them access refunds and valuable tax credits. Learn more through the official Mile High United Way website. For related information, visit NHREA’s Colorado homeless assistance resources and federal assistance guide.
