Mountain Homeless Coalition

Mountain Homeless Coalition works to reduce homelessness through a Housing First approach that places permanent housing at the center of support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Its Housing Navigation and Eviction Prevention Program offers housing-search guidance, lease and landlord support, eviction-prevention resources, utility assistance, move-in help, and short-term motel stays paired with case management. The organization also describes landlord partnership services and connections to legal aid and other community resources.

Mountain Homeless Coalition partners with the Housing Authority of San Bernardino County on Georgia Street Cabins, an income-based permanent housing initiative in Big Bear Lake funded through California’s Project Homekey.
