Description

Rev. Eddie Thomas: Compassion and Care During the Great Depression
During the hardships of the Great Depression, Rev. Eddie Thomas opened a soup kitchen in the basement of the former First Baptist Church to serve homeless, jobless, and destitute men. On cold evenings, dozens of men gathered for a hot meal and to hear a message of God’s redeeming love, offering hope and comfort during one of the most challenging times in American history.
