Northfield Community Local

Northfield Community Local Development Corporation (Northfield Community LDC) is a Staten Island nonprofit founded in 1978 by Port Richmond merchants, property owners, and residents. It serves the borough through affordable housing development, rehabilitation of existing housing, energy conservation and building health and safety improvements, and economic development.

Its housing services support homeowners and first-time homebuyers with education and counseling, foreclosure counseling and prevention, down payment assistance, mortgage guidance, below-market home improvement loans, and access to grants subject to availability and eligibility. Northfield is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency, and Spanish interpretation is available.
