OnPoint NYC, located at 104-106 E 126th St in New York, provides harm-reduction services intended to support the health, safety, and dignity of people who use drugs or engage in sex work. The organization launched two of the first government-sanctioned Overdose Prevention Centers in the United States in 2021.
Through its continuum of services, OnPoint NYC offers overdose prevention, clinical care, HIV and hepatitis C testing, wound care, buprenorphine support, case management, drug checking, and no-barrier drop-in services. Mental health programs include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, screenings, medication prescriptions, and peer-led counseling. Holistic services include acupuncture, acupressure, aromatherapy, cupping, sound baths, reiki, and meditation.
Outreach and public safety teams provide food, clothing, safer-use supplies, education, and hazardous-waste cleanup in East Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx. People seeking broader housing or community assistance can also explore New York assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
