Room At the Inn
Description
Founded in 1993 by the Sisters of Divine Providence, Room at the Inn is a 24/7 emergency shelter dedicated to serving local women and families experiencing homelessness in the St. Louis region. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Room at the Inn combines the compassionate efforts of our committed staff, interfaith congregations, and community partners to offer a stabilizing support system for those in need.
A Collaborative Community Effort
Over the past 30 years, Room at the Inn has partnered with more than 50 interfaith congregations representing 15 diverse faith traditions and a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds. This collaboration extends to multiple outside agencies, ensuring our clients have access to comprehensive resources and services essential for overcoming homelessness.
Empowering Through Shelter, Education, and Support
Our mission is to empower individuals and families to find lasting solutions to homelessness by providing emergency shelter alongside vital support services such as education, case management, and referrals to long-term resources. We are proud to be a catalyst for community action, helping neighbors help neighbors.
