Somerville Homeless Coalition

Created in 1985 through a grassroots community response to homelessness, Somerville Homeless Coalition (SHC) provides individualized supportive services and tailored housing solutions for homeless and nearly homeless individuals and families.

SHC’s work includes adult shelter, food assistance, homelessness prevention, and affordable housing with supportive services. Its programs are designed to help people move from housing crises toward stability and maintain affordable housing over time.
