Description

St. Francis House is an ecumenical transitional home in Sioux Falls that welcomes people of all races, genders, and creeds who are experiencing homelessness. Its work began in 1987 through collaboration among local churches, civic groups, businesses, and volunteers.

The organization provides a warm, safe place to stay, meals, and case management. Program coordinators assist guests with employment, transportation, children’s school or child care, money management, and other life skills. Guests may also receive referrals to addiction recovery, health care, mental health, and GED services. Learn more about these supports on the official St. Francis House website.

St. Francis House follows a housing-first approach that connects transitional housing with community social-service, educational, and health-care resources. For additional information, see NHREA’s South Dakota homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official site to confirm current program details.
