St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury Shelter
Description
Since 1984, our shelter has served as a critical refuge for thousands of individuals and families across Connecticut. As the largest program of its kind in the state, we have the capacity to serve up to 108 people nightly, with an emergency capacity of an additional 16. Our commitment goes beyond providing a hot shower, a clean bed, and a safe place to rest.
A Comprehensive Approach to Ending Homelessness
We empower our guests to overcome housing challenges through a holistic and individualized approach. Every day, we offer comprehensive case management services to provide the tools and resources necessary to help people find sustainable solutions.
We work to not only meet the immediate needs of our guests but also to help them find a path to permanent housing and successful reintegration into the wider community. By providing these essential services and collaborating with other providers, we are actively working to break the cycle of homelessness.
