Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness was established in 2005 by dedicated community leaders from Manatee and Sarasota Counties with a bold vision to end homelessness throughout the region. Recognizing the urgent need to unify efforts and coordinate resources, the Partnership serves as the primary organization driving systemic change to combat homelessness locally.

As the lead agency for the Manatee and Sarasota County Continuum of Care (CoC), designated FL-500, Suncoast Partnership oversees the planning, coordination, and operation of homeless services across both counties. We provide year-round leadership and strategic support to the CoC, ensuring effective collaboration among service providers, government agencies, and community stakeholders.

Our role as the collaborative applicant for federal and state funding allows us to secure critical grants that support local partner agencies delivering vital services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk. We administer these funds responsibly to maximize impact and expand access to housing, healthcare, and supportive services.

Central to our work is managing the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), known locally as the Community Services Information System (CSIS). This federally mandated data system collects detailed client-level information on housing and service delivery, enabling us to coordinate housing plans, identify gaps, reduce service duplication, and evaluate overall system effectiveness. Through this data-driven approach, we continually improve how resources are allocated and services are delivered.

Suncoast Partnership also facilitates Oneby1, our community’s coordinated entry system designed to identify, prioritize, and triage those experiencing homelessness. Coordinated entry streamlines access to permanent housing solutions and ensures individuals and families receive timely, appropriate assistance tailored to their unique needs.

We firmly believe homelessness is solvable. Providing safe, stable housing is the foundation for health, dignity, and opportunity. By lifting up the most vulnerable populations in Manatee and Sarasota Counties, we strengthen the entire community’s quality of life.
