Families facing job loss, housing instability or other disruptions can turn to Toberman Neighborhood Center’s Community Food Pantry for weekly groceries and emergency food support. The pantry serves San Pedro and the Harbor Area of Los Angeles, California. Nutrition education and resource referrals are also available, and the pantry may have hygiene supplies and diapers.
Call or email the center to arrange food pickup and ask what is needed for a first visit. Toberman’s FamilySource Center handles scheduled appointments and asks for proof of address and income. Check which requirements apply to pantry groceries or emergency food rather than treating the full case-management checklist as a condition of food access.
Confirm pantry pickup times before traveling. General office hours do not establish when groceries are available. The separate weekday Grab and Go meal program also has its own schedule, distinct from grocery distribution.
For housing or financial needs beyond food assistance, NHREA’s federal assistance information offers another starting point. Grocery assistance does not include housing placement or a financial award.
