Description
United Food Bank (Main Mesa) is a vital non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and food insecurity across Eastern Maricopa, Gila, Pinal, Southern Navajo, and Southern Apache Counties in Arizona. Established in 1985, this Mesa-based food bank serves as a critical distribution hub, actively acquiring, storing, and distributing millions of pounds of nutritious food annually to individuals, families, seniors, and veterans in need through a robust network of over 120 partner agencies and programs. Committed to community empowerment and sustainable food systems, United Food Bank also engages in hunger advocacy and educational initiatives, striving to ensure that every dollar donated provides five meals and that 96 cents of every dollar directly supports hunger relief operations. Their comprehensive approach includes emergency food assistance, mobile pantry programs, grocery rescue, and specialized programs like Kids’ Cafés and the Commodity Senior Food Program, making a significant impact on food access and community well-being throughout Arizona.
