White Pony Express

Located in Concord, White Pony Express is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing hunger and poverty by redirecting surplus food to people in need. Through its Food Rescue Program, the organization gathers high-quality surplus food from grocers, farmers markets, restaurants, and wholesalers, then sorts and distributes it to nonprofit service providers. Deliveries are tailored to recipient organizations and provided without charge.

White Pony Express also supports food access through school pantries where families can choose fresh groceries at no cost. Its Clothing and Care Program distributes new clothing and essential items through a mobile pop-up boutique, with volunteers helping recover, sort, transport, and share donated goods.

People seeking additional housing or basic-needs resources may wish to review NHREA’s California homeless assistance resources and federal assistance guide. Visit the official White Pony Express website to confirm current program and donation details.
