Description

Zahn Emergency Housing, part of The Salvation Army’s Zahn Memorial Center, provides emergency shelter and support for families experiencing homelessness in downtown Los Angeles. Located at 832 James M. Wood Blvd., the program offers people in crisis a safe place to stay while helping them work toward longer-term housing. Visit the official Zahn Memorial Center website for program information.

The needs-based housing program serves people affected by homelessness, addiction, HIV/AIDS, chronic disease, mental health challenges, and substance use. Families receive temporary housing, case management, personalized referrals, and support focused on building skills for self-sufficiency. The program also works toward transitional and permanent housing options and connects residents with community partners.

For additional housing and homelessness resources, see NHREA’s California homeless assistance guide and federal assistance resources. Visit the official source to confirm current program details and referral information.
