Lake Martin Area United Way

Lake Martin Area United Way brings together people from business, government, education, health care, faith groups, nonprofits, and the wider community to address local needs and improve quality of life. Its work focuses on healthy communities, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency.

Through partnerships and its annual campaign, the organization supports programs centered on education, income, and health. Its Education Enrichment Program has partnered with Alexander City Schools to provide books and school supplies for children in grades K–6 participating in summer numeracy, literacy, tutoring, and other enrichment programs. The organization also provides information about safer places to shelter during severe weather.
