Description

The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) supports Alabama communities through grant programs and services focused on community and economic development. The agency works with local governments, nonprofit groups, state and federal agencies, and other partners to help improve quality of life across the state.

ADECA’s programs include community development, energy assistance, weatherization, broadband, recreation, transportation, justice, and other initiatives. Its Office of Water Resources administers programs related to water-use reporting, drought planning and response, floodplain management, flood-hazard mapping, and technical assistance. Visit the official ADECA programs directory for more information.

For Alabama-specific housing and homelessness resources, visit NHREA’s Alabama assistance page. Broader support options are available through NHREA’s federal assistance resources. Check ADECA’s official website for current program details and contact information.
