Garden State Home

Since 2007, Garden State Home has provided safe housing, case management, and life-skills support for homeless youth and vulnerable families across New Jersey. Its programs are designed to promote stability, dignity, and greater independence.

Housing options include transitional housing for young men aging out of child welfare or experiencing homelessness, independent living support, and affordable housing for low-income families and individuals aging out of care. Garden State Home also operates a recovery-housing program in Cliffwood for men with a history of substance use disorder.

Through its Medicaid-funded Housing Supports Program, Garden State Home helps eligible NJ FamilyCare members search for housing and maintain tenancy with individualized stabilization plans addressing housing, income, and health-related needs. Its homelessness-diversion program connects homeless or at-risk households with services intended to prevent homelessness, with a focus on Middlesex County.
