NYC Service, a division of the Mayor’s Office, helps connect New Yorkers with opportunities and resources for civic participation. Through the NYC Service website, residents can explore volunteer opportunities and learn about ways to contribute to their communities.
Its work is centered on building a culture of service in New York City, recognizing that volunteerism can take many forms and that residents’ experiences can help address community challenges. Registered organizations can also use the NYC Service website to present services and direct visitors to their external resources.
NYC Service’s Service Bureau program, established in 2017, partners with City agencies seeking to create or expand volunteer programs. The program combines funding with capacity-building support such as volunteer coaching, training, and guidance for inclusive outreach and program management.
The office is located at 253 Broadway, 8th floor, New York, NY 10007. For related housing assistance, see NHREA’s New York homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official website to confirm current program details.
