Founded in 1994, Elizabeth House is a Pasadena nonprofit supporting pregnant and parenting women experiencing homelessness through residential, alumni, and community-based programs. Its trauma-informed, holistic approach addresses physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic needs while helping women and children build stability.
The organization’s residential program provides a supportive setting for pregnant women and may include one young child. Services described by Elizabeth House include case management, prenatal and postnatal care, professional counseling, parenting and life-skills education, transition support, health and wellness services, and educational or vocational scholarships. After completing the residential program, women and their children can remain connected through lifelong alumni services.
Through its programs for pregnant and parenting women, Elizabeth House also offers community-based support such as therapy, referrals, education and employment development, classes, and access to resources. For additional help, see NHREA’s California homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official Elizabeth House website to confirm current program details.
