Wiregrass Area Food Bank

Located in Dothan, Wiregrass Area Food Bank is a hunger-relief agency serving Houston, Henry, Dale, Coffee, Geneva, and Barbour counties in Alabama. It works through member agencies to collect and distribute excess food and grocery products, develop agency networks, and encourage community participation in hunger relief.

Member agencies use food from the bank to provide on-site meals and emergency food boxes. The network includes church and nonprofit food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, homeless shelters, school food pantries, senior programs, homebound meal programs, and the Brown Bag Program. Community members can help through donations, food drives, volunteering, and advocacy.
